Knoshbox Review: Monthly Food Susbcription Box - July 2012
I just found out about Knoshbox, and it is quickly becoming one of my new favorite subscription boxes! Here's the July box:
The Box: Knoshbox
The Cost: $30 a month including free shipping
The Products: Full size and deluxe sized samples of gourmet food products from the US.
Taza Dark Chocolate Mexicano - Salt & Pepper - (2 discs) Value $6
This chocolate is amazing and not just for the taste: it's organic, fair trade and gluten, soy and dairy free! In fact, there are only 4 ingredients: organic cacao beans, organic cane sugar, organic black pepper and kosher salt.
If there is such a thing as healthy chocolate - this is it!
Full Bloom Apiaries Honey Jar (5.5 oz) - Value 3.75
A great staple to have in the house, and much healthier than most honey you would find in a typical grocery store.
Ashlawn Farm Coffee: Captain Bill's Bold Blend - Value $12
Organic and fair trade coffee - another great find! If you like strong coffee, I definitely recommend trying this blend. The bag I received was whole bean, but they also offer it in Percolator, French Press, Drip, and Espresso.
Two Cousin's Biscotti in Traditional (4 oz bag) - Estimated Value $5
I didn't try these myself (gluten) but they were almost immediately devoured and enjoyed by others! The Traditional flavor is their signature biscotti and features a delicious mixture of pistachio nuts, cranberries, and apricots.
Zen Tara Loose Tea - Golden Meyer Lemon Black Tea (2 oz) - Value $7
Wow - I opened the bag and the lemon smell hit me immediately. Unlike other lemon teas that typically just use lemon flavoring, Zen Tara uses actual dried Meyer Lemon rind, and the difference is amazing. This is absolutely my new favorite tea.
Verdict: Knoshbox is one of my new favorite boxes! The box costs $30 and I received over $34 worth of excellent natural and organic products. This is truly one of those rare subscription boxes where you genuinely feel someone took the time to hand select best-of products for you to sample. The presentation is also great: the included card gives you all the information you need to know what went into the making of each product.

Blissmo Box Selection Time - July
Did you select your Blissmo Box yet for July? I normally know which one I want immediately, but this time nothing was really calling out to me. I ended up going with Naturally Hers. I hope it's a good box!
If you haven't selected your box yet, you have until the 23rd to make your selection.
Also an interesting line in the email from Blissmo:
"Oh, and if you're a Premier Member, you just might be getting a little something extra in your selection this month ;) "
I'm not sure what it means to be a Premier Member, but I hope I am one!
If you aren't familiar with Blissmo Box, here are the details:
The box: Blissmo Box
The price: $19 a month plus 5.95 shipping. If you subscribe at the annual rate, the cost is $228 (free shipping). This is the option I selected since the savings were so substantial. ($71 savings)
The products: A mix of eco-friendly and organic products. From Blissmo: "We curate products that are (a) high design & quality, (b) organic / no or low toxin, (c) eco-friendly / sustainable and (d) awesome, that are safer & better for you, your family & your planet."

Blissmo Box Review July 2012
Around the 15th of each month, Blissmo Box emails you to select which box you would like to receive. (There are 3 themes each month). The options this time were: Summer Essentials, Splendid Spa and Relaxation, and Pristine and Clean. I always need more sunscreen so I decided to go with Summer Essentials and hope for the best!

GoGo Squeez Apple Sauce on the Go - Value $1 each
These were the surprise of the box for me. They were really good! The packaging is really convenient, but keep in mind, you will look silly eating them :)
Awesome Bars in Salty Peanut and Coconut Pecan - Value $2.10 each
The flavors in these bars were good, but the bars were little dry. I'm wondering if I just got a bad batch?
Late July Organic Seat Salt Multi Grain Snack Chips (Gluten Free) - Value $1
Elemental Herbs Sunstick SPF 30 - Value $7.99
Yay! Chemical Free sunscreen! This was exactly what I was hoping for from this Summer Essentials box. Perfect size for my purse to always have on hand.
Wellinhand Bug a Boo Insect Repellent - Value $11
This is definitely one of my favorite products in the box. It smells great, and I've never found a great smelling insect repellent before!
