Rocks Box Review - Monthly Jewelry Rental Subscription Box - August 2012

Rocks Box Review - Monthly Jewelry Rental Subscription Box - August 2012

I'm so excited about all the new jewelry and accessory subscription boxes I've been seeing lately. In the past I've bought most of my jewelry online at Bauble Bar, but now having jewelry sent to me based on my style preferences is pretty amazing!

Rocks Box Review - Monthly Jewelry Rental Subscription Box - August 2012

Rocks Box is a unique subscription box in that you are renting designer jewelry with the option to buy any of the pieces at a discount, or send them back within 60 days with your included pre-paid return envelope for no extra charge.  It's kind of like Rent The Runway, but with designer jewelry you can wear every day, instead of designer dresses for special occasions.

I like delicate gold necklaces so while this doesn't push me out of my comfort zone, it definitely will get some use!

This is the pre-paid return envelope that comes with your jewelry. Here are two important FAQ answers I pulled from Rocks Box's site:

How long can I keep my gems?

You can keep your gems for up to 60 days. After 60 days, you will be automatically billed for the items in the box (at the members only price of 20% off the retail price).

How often can I refresh my RocksBox set?

As a RocksBox member you can refresh your jewelry supply as often as you like! You will be charged the same flat monthly fee regardless of how long you keep your jewels, or how often you refresh them. To refresh your pieces, simply return your RocksBox set anytime to exchange them a new set.

Verdict: I really like the Rocks Box subscription model. It's a great way to add designer jewelry to your everyday outfits without the designer price tag. I also really like that you can return your jewelry for new jewelry as often as you like and that's all covered in the monthly fee.

  1. SO glad you posted this review, too. I definitely fall into the Tzen designer category on their website, and was able to add that info to my profile before my first box ships out. I've already warned hubby that I will probably buy almost everything they send. These boxes-- it's an obsession!
